The possibility of creating an avatar, a fully customizable digital profile to be presented in a likewise human-created virtual collective, is blurring more and more the line that divides physical body, soul, and digital self-representation. “A self-portrait on glitch” is an abstract reflection on how technology has altered (permanently?) the concept of self, and on how much control we think we have on our digital avatar.
